This is my birthday month. I won’t say which birthday it is, because a lady turns 21 only a certain number of times, and she never tells which number or time she is on.
But for this birthday? My husband compiled memories and photos from family and some friends and put all of their content into a book which he gave me as an early birthday present.
The kind words and fun memories lifted my heart. I didn’t realize that it was drooping until I read all those words of love and appreciation and found myself feeling . . . light? Joyous? Wonderful. It is a gift for which I will ever be grateful.
We can’t always make memory books for each other, but we can always look for opportunities to speak kind words and add our little bit to the healing of a heart, whether we know it’s drooping or not.
What words of kindness have healed your heart? Or when you did offer words of kindness that helped another? Feel free to share this part of your #QuestForKindness in the comments.

I thought of several things but my top choice would be a heartfelt ‘I’m sorry.’ Those two kind words can heal a heart giving one both comfort and peace.
